[ A long moment, Spock blinking at the offered hand, before he takes it and allows a single, perfunctory shake. It is apparent Jim has no idea about a cambion's abilities. Spock does his best to avoid any more than the faintest flicker of emotional transference. That, at least, he is relieved to note carries none of the flavor of deceit. ]
