Okay, okay. I'll take a bath with you.

( twist his arm, why don't you? stefan laughs and reaches for the bubble bath so he can pour it into the rising water in the tub. )

It wasn't obvious. I was going to sit in here and read while you took a bath.

You were going to sit in here and read a book while I'm naked and wet in your bathtub?

[ she presses her lips together but her smile still fights its way through. it's so cute how much of a gentleman he is, but he can do that any other time. isn't this little weekend meant to be them being all non-friendly? ]

Add any more of that and your entire bathroom will be bubbles.

I was going to sit in here and read a book while talking to you and letting you rest.

( big difference, katherine. huge!

he pulls back on the bubbles and then sets the bottle down before rubbing his hands together. )

But I won't do that since you've requested my company in there with you.

Boring. [ she rolls her eyes and then stands straighter, wearing a beaming smile. ] My idea is better.

[ and thank god for her ideas. stefan's one is cute, but it's hardly what she wants. shouldn't they be celebrating this new step in their relationship? he finally wants her and she wants to have a bath. one plus one.

she sits carefully on the edge of the bathtub. ]

We can do yours next time. Maybe.

There's going to be a next time?

( stefan doesn't even care that she said maybe. he's more caught on the whole next time thing. it makes him smile. )

I'd ask you to tell me more about the next time but I think I'll concentrate on the present for the time being.

( but next time is a good thing. )

[ smiling, she reaches out to brush her fingertips against his jawline. even if they hadn't had sex, she'd still feel free to touch him in this carefree way.

she turns around and dips her hand into the water, it almost filling up to the top. she turns the tap off. ]

Cute home owners first?

All right.

( stefan laughs, leaning into her touch before he moves away and slips into the tub. it takes him a few seconds to adjust, to let the heat sink into his skin and then he sighs and looks over at her.

he gestures her closer and smiles. )

Come on. Come in with me. Show me how to take a bath.

If you insist. [ she rolls her eyes with a smile, shaking her head as if this hadn't been her idea at all.

placing a hand against the lip of the tub, she steps in, being mindful of his legs, she remains standing as she faces him, looking down at him in a tub that isn't hers but might as well be.

she slowly begins to lower herself on the other end of the tub. her hands disappear beneath the water before she lifts them up, cupping some of the bubbles in her palms. ]

You look comfortable.

Do I?

( he has to admit, this isn't bad. it feels nice, it's comfortable and she's there which just makes it better. he slouches down further into the tub and sighs. )

I guess this isn't so bad. You look...well, you look like you were made for a bath tub like this.

( it's a good look. )

[ she laughs lightly and reaches out to touch his soapy wet toes. stefan is tall, but she hadn't realised just how long his legs were until now.

katherine rolls her eyes at him and scoops up some bubbles to blow them into his face. ]

You're just saying that because I'm naked and wet.

[ mimicking him, she slides further into the bathtub so he can't see her breasts anymore. ]

( stefan makes a quiet 'aww' sound at losing the sight of her breasts but then laughs and kicks her lip lightly with his leg. )

No, I'm not. I'd say it if you were standing fully clothed in a hazard suit because it's the truth.

( he splashes her with some water. )

Accept it.

[ nts: get a hazard suit and see what he says. ]

Or what?

[ arching her brow, she slides a little more into the bathtub, arm still around her breasts just in case he can sneak a peek. his little sound of sadness was very, very cute.

will he kick her out of the bathtub? that seems to defeat the purpose of her looking as though she was made to be in it. ]

What if I don't accept it, Stefan?

You should accept it because if you do, it'll be good for you. Later.

( and no, he's not going to tell her why. she's just going to have to wait and see. )

And you should accept it because it's true. Simple as that.

( he shrugs and then splashes her. )

[ she smiles in amusement as she looks at him, wondering if she should continue fighting this or give in and let him have his way. ]

Mysterious. [ laughing, she sighs. ] Fine. I accept.

[ scooping up some bubbles, she leans forward and blows them in his direction. she thinks she'll let him have his way, only so she can find out what else he has in store. ]

( the bubbles float over to him and he bats them away before moving his leg to stroke up and down her side, using the slickness of the water to make that easier. )

You enjoying yourself? Having a good bath so far?

[ she's slightly tickled by his ministrations, moving a little in the tub. she ensures not to move too wildly; she doesn't want his bathroom to be coated in water. ]

Yes. [ smiling, she eyes him as she says it. ] It's one of the better baths I've had in ages. It could be because of the company.

[ sitting up slightly, she scoops some of the bubbles from near her chest and blows them gently towards him. she no longer hides her breasts beneath the water or where the bubbles are thickest. ]

Could be?

( does that mean there's the possibility that it's not? the bubbles she's just blown float gently over to him and rest atop the water.

stefan's eyes, however, are on her breasts. he's not biased. )

That seems to leave it open that it's not because of my company.

Does it?

[ she arches her brow and watches him look at her. she thinks to slide deeper into the water, but she only sits up straighter so she can enjoy his ogling and he can enjoy eyeing her breasts. who knew that once they crossed that delicate line of their tentative friendship into old but comfortable territory that he'd leer at her?

she wants to see what might make him blush. ]
