[ Read: he definitely thought the worst. And he does not feel in the slightest bad about it. There was reason. If Jim did not wish to be thought poorly of, he should choose less shady bars to hang out at, with less horrible blood-drinking monsters as fellow patrons. ]

[ Again, he thinks of Jim as they'd first met, lazy and insouciant in the bar. A stark contrast to the man who refused to abandon him in the den, and who willingly gave his blood to keep Spock from dying. ]

[ A soft hum of acknowledgement, though Spock does tilt his head, giving Jim a thoughtful once over. ]

You are attractive. It would be relatively simple to conceal that you are a vampire should you desire amiable human companionship.

I have been trained as a hunter since I was a child. I do not hunt vampires simply because of a personal dislike.

They prey upon humans to severe detrimental effect. Rather than coexistence, the vampires I hunt are more akin to parasites. [ A beat, then he adds pointedly: ] You saw the means by which this nest has chosen to feed.

Yeah, I saw. They'd say they were only doing what they had to do to survive.

( not that he agrees, just presenting a different point of view. )

I am curious, if you believe that to be a "little" nasty, what method would you consider to be "very" nasty?

You go in alone, they'll kill you. Because their numbers will be greater and they're not going to want to be embarrassed again.
