When's the last time you slept?

( he lowers his voice because if she is going to fall asleep, he wants to make it a little easier for her. he presses his fingers harder into her temples before sliding them gently into her hair and down her scalp. )

You been busy?

[manipulative]

[ oh, this entire plan for a head massage has a high risk of backfiring.

after a low moan, katherine doesn't respond for a moment, enjoying his fingers in her hair. ]

Very busy.

[ she thinks to open her eyes to peer up at him, but his fingers feel so good in her hair that she can't even manage to open one.

teasing, ] There's this guy. He keeps asking me to meet him in places—coffee shops, predominantly—and now a house in the middle of nowhere. He's kept me very busy entertaining his high maintenance self.

[prescind]

You could have said no.

( but she hadn't, had she? she'd kept coming out to see him whenever he called her. she'd never once said no. )

If it was so hard, why'd you keep coming? Nothing else to do?

( he brings his finger to her scalp, massaging firmly. )

[manipulative]

Would you believe it?

[ of course he wouldn't. she's the most exciting person he knows. she smiles and keeps her eyes closed, wanting to play off any meaning that may entail.

it's not a big deal she came every time he wanted to meet up, and it's not a big deal when she extended the invitation, either.

she sighs, half in contentment and half in show. ]

Maybe I wanted to see you. You were the only person on my contact list who bothered to text me.

[ that sounds far more pathetic than she'd like. ]

How big's your contact list?

( for some reason, he can't imagine she keeps it very large just for precautionary reasons. she wouldn't want anyone to be a loose end. )

Anyone interesting on it?

( he keeps his fingers moving firmly against her head, trying to soothe any stress or worry she might have. )

[manipulative]

[ pursing her lips, she takes a moment to think. ]

An Original and maybe a very famous person.

[ she sighs, shifting her shoulders. she could fall asleep if she keeps letting him work his magic, dangerous fingers. so, it's time for plan b. ]

My shoulders hurt.

[prescind]

Your shoulders hurt?

( he takes his hands away from her head, peering down at her with a frown. )

Do you want me to stop?

( or was that a subtle way of asking him to massage her shoulders instead of her head. )

[manipulative]

[ she opens her eyes to glare up at him. ]

My shoulders hurt, Stefan. Don't you want to help me out?

[ sometimes this boy is so hopeless in picking up the hints she's dropping down. he's invited her over to have sex, she's got him touching her in a very nice way, and he thinks she wants him to stop.

he's so lucky he's cute. ]

Yeah, I wanna help you. Do you want me to massage those?

( is that what she was hinting at? he gestures for her to turn around so he can get at her shoulders. )

I can do that.

[manipulative]

[ oh, good.

katherine plants her hands on the couch beside her and pushes herself up and throws herself over the side of the couch. spinning around, she lies down so she can press her cheek against his leg and look out at his living room. ]

Yes.

[ belated answer. ]

You comfortable?

( he'd expected her to sit up so he could sit behind her and rub her shoulders but this is good too. )

Don't fall asleep.

[manipulative]

But your legs are so comfortable.

[ they are very, very firm legs. maybe this was both a good and bad decision. all she wants to do is curl her hand up beneath his legs and cuddle into him like he's a pillow. ]

My shoulders really hurt, Stefan.

[ they don't. ]

Uh huh.

( he doesn't quite believe that she's in that much pain but he reaches down and starts using the heels of his hands to press down on her shoulders and her shoulder blades. )

I had no idea that you had so many shoulder problems, Katherine. Must be difficult to be without someone to rub them.

[manipulative]

God.

[ katherine moans long and deep, letting out an exhale at the delicious pressure of his hands. she turns to jelly beneath him, closing her eyes momentarily as she enjoys the hard pressure. now, she's starting to realise just how tense she is. ]

It is.

[ it's been far too difficult, especially given she doesn't trust anyone to bare her back to. she curls her hand around his leg and then relaxes her arm. ]

Can you believe I'm sore all over?

[prescind]

All over? Just what were you doing that made you so sore, Katherine?

( he digs his thumbs harder into her shoulders and then moves them up the back of her neck, under her hair. he massages the tense muscles there while he looks down at her. )

You weren't this sore when you walked in.

[manipulative]

[ she lets out a contented sigh, moaning when his fingers dig into the back of her neck and hair. this is the most relaxed she's ever felt. unsurprisingly, it's with stefan. ever since they've been seeing one another, she's felt far less guarded than usual. ]

I did have to carry my bags to my car and then out of my car to this house. It took a lot out of me.

[ understandable, right? ]

Oh, how awful for you. I didn't know a five hundred year old vampire got tired and sore so easily.

( but he keeps his fingers working against the back of her neck, digging into the base and then working up towards her scalp before moving back down to her shoulders. )

Maybe you should take a nap.

[manipulative]

[ how does he expect her to listen, let alone respond when he touches her like that? katherine shifts and moans, relaxing and tensing all at once. she forgot just how good and firm his hands could be. ]

Taking a nap sounds like it goes against what you planned for today.

[ she smiles at that, grateful he can't see it right now. ]

I'm happy as I am right now, Stef.

[prescind]

There's plenty of time to do what I planned so if you want to nap, then nap.

( but he suspects she's going to be stubborn about this and not go to sleep. that's why he keeps his hands on her shoulders, digging his fingers hard into the muscle there to try and work the knots out. )

But if you're good, I'm good.

[manipulative]

[ oh, wow. she wonders just what he has planned and when if there's enough time for a nap. are they only going to have sex once? is he intending for it to be disappointing? there are so many questions she can ask, but instead of being able to give them a voice, she moans at his ridiculously good hands instead. ]

Your hands are very good.

[ just in case he didn't realise, given the fact he has her moaning and her clothes are still on. she enjoys his hands for a moment, wriggling on the couch before stilling. ]

But what do you have planned, hm?

[prescind]

I didn't exactly make an agenda, Katherine.

( he'd just been playing this by feel, going with his gut and trying to take something he wanted. )

I don't know, I was just going with what felt good for the both of us.

( so, his plans were very fluid. )

[manipulative]

[ stefan hadn't made a basic plan for today's events? katherine doubts that. he must have some idea of what he wanted to do with her... but then again, maybe he's a little more spontaneous than she remembers. ]

Does this feel good for you?

[ she can't help but smile. she taps her fingers against his kneecap and turns slightly so she can glance at him over her shoulder. ]

It feels very good to me.

[prescind]

It feels fine for me, yes.

( mostly, he just likes knowing that he's making her feel good. he's comfortable and warm and actually somewhat relaxed so he's trying to pass on that onto her. )

I can tell it feels good for you since you look like you're going to fall asleep on me.

[manipulative]

I do not look like I'm about to fall asleep on you.

[ she is wide awake and relaxed, see her eyes? they're nice and wide and focused on her. they are definitely not sleepy. katherine makes an effort to quietly quicken her breathing and keep her eyes open for a little longer.

as if to prove him wrong, she shifts and rolls over so she's lying on her back with her head resting on his legs. ]

I'm just relaxed. It's been a long time since anyone's given me a massage.

[ and that's a real pity in itself. ]

When's the last time you stayed in one place long enough for anyone to give you a massage?

( from what he knows about her, she's always on the move, always with some plan in motion to keep herself safe. )

Maybe someone was just waiting for you to stay still before giving you a massage.
